I run a small Company with a closeknit team of two dedicated welders that specialises in the restoration welding and lowering of VW vans, campers and buses, anything from single cabs and panel vans to microbuses and sambas.  I do not limit my services to these vehicles solely, but Volkswagens are my main source of business.  I welcome the challenge of different vehicles and can apply the same thought train and attention to detail to all my work to produce the best possible finished product.

I have been 'tinkering' with cars since the age of 14 when I acquired my first beetle and I've carried on building my skills from that day forward.  I started welding VW's commercially in 2010 and my business has evolved in different guises, including Dubshak, until becoming Matt Gill Restorations in 2012.
We use 3 different types of welding to get the best results, namely mig , tig and spot welding, I use the finest panels available as this reflects in the finished article.  The majority of the time it's more cost effective to use better quality panels as there is less adjustment needed to make them fit correctly.

Customers are involved in most of the decision making and are kept up to date with regular photographic progress reports.  This helps to document exactly what is being done, ensuring no corners are being cut and giving the customer a storybook collection of pictures of their vehicle.  My attention to detail is second to none - it's not about getting vehicles in, getting them welded, and getting paid, as soon as possible..... it's about getting them in, getting them restored correctly and to the customers satisfaction
